I confirm this bug. I upgraded to Intrepid last week, and now I no longer have wireless connectivity. (And since I have no ethernet connection, I have to work in Windows. *grrr*)
What happens is this. I use a hex password to connect to a wireless router. There is now no "hex password" option in the username/password screen. Plus, after I copy and paste my password into the field and later go back to it, the hex string has changed to a different hex string. Both green dots light up in the applet, and the mouseover tells me it is waiting for a network address. It never does connect. The current design should NOT be part of the general release -- it is totally broken. Suggestions for a workaround so I can get my internet going again would be welcome. -- Intrepid alpha6+beta: nm cannot connect with WEP hex key https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274922 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
