Me too. Using wireless logitech mouse that connects with usb. Every time it is removed and plugged back in, configuration is reset. Going to System->Preferences->Mouse and switching radio button to Right-handed and back to left-handed restores the settings.
I'm going to guess that this is a problem with the new xorg - previously this configuration was stored between sessions in the xorg.conf file. Now, with Intrepid shipping by default without that file (or without actually paying attention to what it says) the mouse config button should change the default for newly attached hardware. (Laptop's internal touchpad stays on left-hand setting) ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-evdev (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- left handed usb mouse has to be reset to left-handed in mouse-settings after inserting the usb-mouse https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286314 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
