Chris, thanks for the response. I responded once but must not have
saved the comment. Point was that I had read the link, which lead to my
confusion initially.
High: A bug which fulfills one of the following criteria:
* Has a severe impact on a small portion of Ubuntu users (estimated)
* Makes a default Ubuntu installation generally unusable for some users
o For example, if the system fails to boot, or X fails to start, on a
certain make and model of computer
* A problem with an essential hardware component (disk controller, laptop
built-in wireless, video card, keyboard, mouse)
* Has a moderate impact on a large portion of Ubuntu users (estimated)
Seems to me that at least bullet points 1 & 3 fit this bug. Mandriva
2009 Errata notes that this is a known bug so doing the same in the
Ubuntu release notes would be a good thing.
I do appreciate Ubuntu and hate to see something that could potentially
turn people away from the distribution or Linux in some cases.
