Here's an image of a zero-ed then on-device-reformatted LifeDrive data
partition.  Probably the most narrowed-down test case that can be made.
:)

It doesn't automount, of course, but it can be mounted with sudo mount
-t vfat -o loop `pwd`/sdb1.img /mnt

Hopefully someone who doesn't have a LifeDrive can use it to fix the
appropriate recognition code.
