Bryan, you are wrong.
I've made a default install from 8.10 desktop cd. I have a dual head
system. I've not modified the default xorg.conf. I installed nvidia
driver with jockey.
If I
1. run "sudo nvidia-xconfig; rm .nvidia-settings-rc; sudo nvidia-settings",
2. click on X Server Display Configuration,
3. click on Save to X Configuration File,
I get a segfault.
By the way nvidia xconfig does not do anything in my case.
