Same for me. Reason seems to be, that starting cups is now done via /etc/init.d/cups.dpkg-new and not cupsys any more. There is an brocken symlink called cups pointing to cupsys! Adding /etc/init.d/cupsys.dpkg-new start to /etc/init.d/rc.local solves the problem though may be not the recommended way.
