Yeah, I agree with Tim. A dialog that tells you this is probably related to your home directory, would be nice.
In my case, I had renamed my /home/username to /home/usernamebak, to backup my settings, and start afresh with Intrepid. However, I also did mkdir /home/username, which triggered this bug. A silly mistake by me.
