Well, we're still awaiting a backtrace on the issue.  See

Also take note as mentioned above that the "[mi] EQ overflowing..." is a
generic error message that gets printed for a variety of different error
cases.

So, probably everyone who is saying "me too" on this bug is probably in
reality having a completely separate, unrelated bug.  None of which have
been reported with enough data to begin troubleshooting on.  I'm going
to retitle this bug to focus only on the original reporter's issue;
others seeing similar behavior really ought to file new bugs (after
reproducing on Intrepid).
