Hi Owen,
As you pointed out, this looks like a duplicate of bug 286285 so I'm
marking it as such. I believe bug 286285 has a patch which went into
the kernel that's now in intrepid-proposed. If you could test the
-proposed kernel (I believe it should be 2.6.27-8.17) and give your
feedback in bug 286285 that would be great. For info on how to enable
-proposed see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed . The wiki
describes enabling -proposed for hardy so just use intrepid instead.
