Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce your bug. I am using version 2.2.0-dfsg1-9ubuntu1 (in Intrepid) and just get a "No debugger support available." when I press F8. So most likely your bug is fixed in a later version.
