Notably, - hanging on shutdown is dealt with in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274995 - wine is mentioned, the only app i know i'm running and is using wine is gnome-do. Killing it doesn't fix the issue - etc/pulse/daemon.conf is mentioned as a pontential issue, not being deliverable in a state suitable for all hardware, but no indication as to how to configure it. no solution yet.
