I think I have the same issue. I cannot add a PDF printer in the printer
configuration tool.
But the 'print to file' option works with pdf and ps formats.
Starting cups thru terminal results in error message:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/cups start
* Starting Common Unix Printing System: cupsd
cupsd: Child exited on signal 15!
[fail]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
--
cups-pdf fails bad status reported and no pdf created
