I fully understand the decision of handling the upstream fontconfig
files. In deed, early time,
I have received queries from Mandriva's fontconfig maintainer, asking
about preferences
in the default Chinese fonts, I replied and also posted in fontconfig's
mail list, but
unfortunately, I have no idea whether these messages were heard or
whatsoever.

Indeed, when I saw font-selector was listed as one of the Intrepid alpha
feature
announcement, I was quite excited. However, when I fully completed my
upgrade,
it did not show up. I guessed it probably would take some more time.
This tool will
certainly play a key role of handling user font preferences. Any
timeline for pushing
this tool to public?
