.....and finally Kern.log. By the way, before going on holiday, I re-checked both the Live Install and Alternate CDs that I had burnt from images obtained using the Transmission BitTorrent Client (and had assumed would be checked against the image held by the Tracker). It turns out that BOTH discs reported incorrect md5sums.
I have read in one of the Ubuntu forums that there may have been a problem with some of the images being distributed on the day of Intrepid 8.10's release, and this seems to have been the case. I have since downloaded a new image of the Live Install CD, burnt it to disc, checked it and the md5sum is good. I will perform another clean install with this soon and post the results. ** Attachment added: "kern.log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19929118/kern.log -- CD/RW Mount Problems with Intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
