Hi All, It seems there are two issues here: the rhythmbox and the IP address dropdown.
I can not comment on the rhythmbox issue but can confirm what Ken says above. You must ensure before you click connect that the drop-down list of IP addresses is not expanded. What I have done as a force of habit is mouse-click on another field before clicking connect and I have not had an issue since. To ensure that it had not just gone away I tried it with the drop-down list expanded and it froze eveytime. Thanks Ken for the help on this.
