Okay, just another update. I went for about a week without getting any error messages on this particular computer, following the rebuild I mentioned earlier.
But then I started getting them again, about a week ago. And I have also been experiencing these same error messages on another computer that I built a few days ago with 8.10 and Seamonkey 1.1.12. So I'm thinking, not only is this repeatable, but it's pretty much unavoidable.
