Two comments: 1/ Don't know who made the 'design choice', but the names selected by Ubuntu are not more friendly, in my opinion. 2/ The issue of the icons has not been addressed. These should be subject to theming, which is not the case with the icons that are used in the OpenOffice 2.4 that is installed by Ubuntu.
For these reasons, I object to the bug being classified as 'Invalid' without further discussion. I would like to suggest that the 'design choice' should be revisited.
