The referenced patch doesn't solve the problem in all cases. It still
doesn't work for me in most cases.

Reproduce faluty behaviour:
open a terminal as root
  /etc/acpi/suspend.d/07-networkmanager-sleep.sh
nm-applet turns offline
pidgin looses all connections, BUT shows status as still beeing online/available
  /etc/acpi/resume.d/63-networkmanager-wake.sh
pidgin status flickers for a fraction of a second and turns back to online, BUT
can not re-connect to any account. Instead it shows warnings, that the server
names
can not be resolved.

Seems like pidgin is not notifed about online/offline or some re-connect
part is missing.
