In office, there are choices of calandar presentation database spread sheet word processor
There is no clearly marked application to open PDF files, which most consider a document. the default is "open office" this crashes when attempting to open a PDF file In my opinion ( Your mileage may vary ) An application for opening PDF files should be clearly marked in Ubuntu, else Open office should show an error message and make a suggestion as to what document processor / program the user should use.
