After posting my previous comment, I worked through the instructions posted at:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=896713 and now my wireless connections are working fine. I guess that means the problem other people are having MAY be a conflict with a Nvidia card. I don't know exactly what step in the instructions corrected my problem, but maybe it will help someone else. Hope so! It seems to be working OK after a re-boot, but I have not run with a wireless connection for long periods. Maybe it will break at some point. If and when it does I'll try to post more information. What is a "jockey debug log" and how do you capture it? Is "jockey" just the name of the System>Administration>Hardware Driver applet?
