I am unable to reproduce this from the steps you provide. What version
of tbird are you using? Is this our package or upstreams package. By the
looiks of the info provided it is upstream package or a deb package that
isnt offficially a Ubuntu package. Please paste the output of apt-cache
policy thunderbird. Please explain your last post to this bug report. On
wha tyou are doing (fixing, working around, just tests)
