I have found that this is caused by the Cisco VPN client vpnclient- linux-x86_64-4.8.02.0030-k9.tar.gz I uninstalled this client, and monitored the laptop for a few days. I never saw this issue nor the error message during this time. I then re-installed the VPN client, and within 1 hour of use, the error message reappeared and the laptop froze. I would have to say this is an issue being caused by the Cisco VPN client.
