Hi there,

Unfortunately I do not have a /var/run/grub/menu.lst.ucf-new

In regard to this machine, it is a fresh install of Ubuntu Intrepid
(quite the error unfotunately, Hardy was much more stable).

>From the get go, and despite being a completely clean install, I have
had to type in "CONFIGFILE /boot/grub/menu/menu.lst" to get the menu up
and start Intrepid.

Would providing my /boot/grub/menu.lst suffice?
