Monk, Thanks for the idea I will give that a try, I was trying to work out a way to apply the latest BIOS update to that system as well (its a couple updates old but has no floppy drive.) This does make some sense looking over the other ticket because this system had a lot of ACPI issues going from 6.06 to 7.04 IIRC. I should be able to try both your workaround and the BIOS update later today when I make it out to the office where that system is, I'll report my findings here.
