Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
anti virus 2009 application starts automatically when clicking on
legitimate web sites. Once the window pops up, there is no way to stop
it from what appears to be a virus scan of my computer. The only option
is to close the web browser completely. This issue causes problems with
window sizes and the apparent loss of toolbar options. There must be
some way of blocking malicious applications like this one. The actual
web site of the malicious application is Http://Anti-virus-secure-
scanner.com. This application starts when accessing several
legitimate links such as "www.shopcarpartsonline.com/seats_674.htm" or
"www.sportsgoodsonline.com/parts_accessories_651.htm". These links will
automatically start anti virus 2009. it doesnt appear to actually load
anything on the computer, but it does force a restart of the web
browser.
