Same AMD64 (old single core), same problem, no hangs, just message: [ 0.004000] Checking aperture... [ 0.004000] No AGP bridge found [ 0.004000] Node 0: aperture @ 2100000000 size 32 MB [ 0.004000] Aperture beyond 4GB. Ignoring.
processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+ ram: 1 GB (512 x 2, old ddr400) Kernel: Ubuntu 2.6.27-11.23-generic graphic card reported by sysinfo as: GeForce 7300 SE/7200 GS pci-express with 512 MB ram... guess is WRONG, as far as I remember is a AGP card with not much than 128 MB... I can hard-check if interesting. dmidecode output included (if any help) ** Attachment added: "dmidecode output" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/21076987/dmidecode.txt -- "Aperture beyond 4GB.
