sorry for not replying earlier I previously didn't read this document : http://www.n-view.net/Appliance/fingerprint/ubuntu-step-by-step.pdf It works with the known limitations under ubuntu : wireless network, screensaver ... you still have to use a pwd. but to log in, or to use sudo commands it works perfectly !!!
