  The above happens EVERY time an application using java3d is opened.
  This was NOT the case at all before the upgrade to the latest fglrx.
  
  Using vesa instead of fglrx solves the problem (i.e. no crash), but of
  course 3D canvas is then very slow.
  
  The attached crash happened in particular when using ImageJ +
  ImageJ_3D_Viewer.jar for 3D visualization of multitiff image stacks.
