** Description changed:

I think I selected the right package as I am using Nvidia Graphics Driver
version 177. This is running a Nvidia Gforce 8200 of a Biostar motherboard on
board Video card that outputs via HDMI to a SceptreX22WG-Gamer flat panel
monitor. I also have just upgraded to Ubuntu 8.10 Ibex.

The Nvidia X Server settings panel seems to recognize all that information,
but when I am in the desktop, the video area is not matching the monitor area.
The video is going about an inch past the left of the screen, about a 1/8 inch
below the screen, 1/2 and inch above, but yet the video area is within the
screen on the right side by two inches. So basically on three sides part of my
screen is missing, and on the right I have a 2 inch black bar. I have not been
able to get this to fix. Is this a bug in the driver that we could possibly
get them to fix for everybody else, or is this an error that I should fix?

On startup it mentions something about the aperture size, memory, and
IOMMU, but it goes by to fast to read. Maybe it is in an attached file
  below.
