I spent all the day testing kernels from 2.6.27-7 to 2.6.27-11 .

Conclusions:

- Kernel 2.6.27-7 works only if you never upgrade and if there aren't any other 
kernel installed,
- Other kernels ant the "not fresh" -7 can operate for some time, but usually 
after 1-2 successful transfers of files the ehci-hcd module stop working at all 
for that kernel.

Do you have to rmmoded every boot?
