Same here - if I disable compiz then celestia seems to run OK without flickering, as does stellarium, although I still get text font corruption. Sadly, googleearth starts up, no flicker, I can see the globe in back of googleearth's start up window, but then it crashes hard. I reset the display settings to custom / compiz and googleearth still segfaults, and the other opejngl apps I have start to exhibit flickering again. > 2. On the other hand, booting up a fresh Fedora 10 from CD, I get 1000-1100 fps from glxgears. System sports an intel core2 duo with 3gb of RAM. > > -- > [i945GM] flicker boxes, rendering artifacts on gl applications > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/317149 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in "xserver-xorg-video-intel" source package in Ubuntu: Confirmed > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel > > System: Ubuntu Intrepid (updated from hardy), up-to-date as of 2009/01/14 on > Dell Latitude D620 with Intel 945GM video, 1440x900 display. > Problem: GL applications flicker during display.
