The simplest way that I've found to fix this is to navigate to:

/usr/share/themes/DarkRoom/gtk-2.0/

and replace your gtkrc file there with the one attached.  I'd make a
backup just in case something goes wrong, though.

The attached file merely changes the color of the bullet on the radio
button (and checkmarks) from white to black, so that they are easier to
see.  Bear in mind, though, that when you hover over the radio button or
the check mark with your mouse, it "glows" orange so that it partially
obscures the black color of the radio bullet or check.  However, moving
the mouse out of the way makes it stop glowing.
