I was reading in a similar bug report about the same laptop that i have using 8.04 hardy with no sound that the problem was in the bios? Can you please confirm or dismiss this statement. Just need to know if someone is still working on the problem i have or if i should go back to windows until a fix is derived?
P.S. I do appreciate all the help and i also understand that the problem is with the hardware vendors more so than the ones writing the software!
