I tried different settings to see which options are really important, and by removing other and other parts of attached xorg.conf file, I went to... the original one, which lacks information at all. After a reboot everything still was ok. So it seems that the only thing that is really needed is loading the sisfb module... I had to omit something in earlier tests.
NOTE: sisfb module *MUST* be loaded at start. It means that it's not enough to load it using 'modprobe sisfb' and restarting X server. It *MUST* be added to /etc/modules, after a reboot it starts to work. -- Intrepid - SIS video snow/fuzz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/264769 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
