** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: acpi-support

- my 8.04 desktop ed on S6410 laptop has very little volume output even when i
turned every possible volume control to max. The volume gets particularly low
when connected to speakers through line out. it's even worst when watch movies
using default movie player.
- please advise if there's any setting or updates that could help. many thanks.

+ can't improve sound volume using speakers.
