I am using Kubuntu Intrepid with KNetworkManager and WiFi, on a Dell XPS M1330. I could get a static IP connection to work only with the workaround I mentioned earlier here (2008-11-12).
Now I applied the suggestion of Nick Bridgwater (2008-12-09): >I had the same problem (static ip would not work) & spotted bug 279409. >I changed the netmask for my static definition in knetworkmanager from >255.255.255.0 to 24.0.0.0 and my network connection works. I can confirm that it works without problem, keeping the static IP even through restarts. -- knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to knetworkmanager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
