A big "Thanks" to everyone here, plus the upstream people who've looked at this.
Unfortunately I'm unable to confirm the fix as yet. I'm trying the Xubuntu Jaunty Alpha 4 LiveCD i386 ISO from here:- http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/jaunty/alpha-4/ However, boot fails at the line:- iTCO_wdt: Found a ICH4 TCO device (Version=1, TCOBASE=0xe460) The next line which should appear is:- iTCO_wdt: initialized. heartbeat=30 sec (nowayout=0) but it hangs instead. This is just after shpchp is started and just before some ACPI detection. Disabling ACPI and other tricks like safe graphics mode aren't helping. Should I report this somewhere as a bug? [Incidentally, the xserver version in that ISO is 1.5.99.902. I assume this is for neat numbering in the final release and the code is effectively v1.6.0.] Cheers. -- Logix Monitor: bad EDID reports 4mm x 3mm physical size causing fonts to be mis-sized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/311485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
