Same thing is happening on Jaunty, with 2.6.28-6, but also with 2.6.27-8-generic (which was fine on Intrepid). Attaching ALSA info again. So it doesn't seem to be kernel- or driver-related; what else could be causing this? How else can I debug the issue?
