I'm still trying to work out how all of the wireless domain stuff hangs together, but I think wpasupplicant is also going to have the ability to set the regulatory domain. I believe that, by default, the regulatory behaviour won't change wrt Intrepid, e.g. regulatory settings are determined from adapter eeprom and AP locale information elements. 'iw' is merely a tool that I can use to experiment with overriding the defaults.
