Martin, I think the issue here is that gnome-device-manager identifies this as an "Unkown button". The button is actually detected, but gnome-device- manager uses the "button.type" property to identify it (which it doesn't have). According to the HAL spec, this is not a mandatory property and can only be "lid", "power" or "sleep" anyway.
