I installed on one disk many i386 Ubuntu systems. I boot 8.04.1, 8.10 and 9.04 alpha3. I am testing the new Jaunty and I keep a production environment to recover from a crash.
The Live desktop CD and DVD show an image shift of the desktop of 1 cm to the right. The shift occurs when I use the nv driver for X. When I use the nvidia (proprietary) driver, the desktop is well centered in the Screen. The image is also well centered when I boot Windows XP at a resolution of 1024x768x32bpp. I'm reinstalling jaunty alpha4. (It crashed today on upgrade 20090212.) I will load xconf for nvidia and edit xorg.conf for nv accordinly. I will submit the xorg.conf with new refresh rates for my screen. My graphics card is a Asus Nvidia 7600GS. The main screen is a Dell E771p. -- nvidia graphics card, display off to the right edge ; shutdown button hidden https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/184951 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
