I see, that's also happening for me.  The processes seems to hang every
time it tries to make a thumbnail for a font, also.

To expand on the bug, I can simply open up nautilus in a directory
containing fonts and the process will hang and no thumbnail of a font
will be displayed.  Killing the process will show a thumbnail, but it
will hang for the next font.

To reproduce:
Start nautilus and browse to /usr/share/fonts

Expected Behavior: Show thumbnail previews of fonts
Actual Behavior: gnome-thumbnail-font hangs with %50 CPU usage and no 
thumbnails are displayed

Its still occurring in directories containing no fonts also.
