Geir, sorry for misunderstanding.. I actually tried it the way you suggest:
1. restart computer and select the Kubuntu partition 2. login as default user and wait for KDE complete startup 3. avoid touching the touchpad until switch to a different VT (by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1) 4. touch the touchpad well, nothing happened... I could even get back to the KDE session and this time the kernel panic did not occur! All worked fine, including input devices! So, it seems it happens only if I try to use the touchpad right after logging into KDE. I'm getting a bit confused... -- [i965] kernel panic after touching touchpad https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/321972 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
