Unfortunately right now it is not a good idea to re-install Kubuntu on my laptop. It's currently my main computer and at the moment I can't afford to spend a couple of days tweaking and fine-tuning the system. Nonetheless, as soon as I can manage to reinstall it I will post the logs you asked for.
