Jockey doesn't propose to install fglrx if ati/radeonhd is already
running, since that supports composite now. But in order to find out
which driver is currently being used, whether it supports composite, and
whether a new one is needed (currently for nvidia), jockey needs to run,
of course. Thus I don't see what to change in Jockey for this.
If you are saying that the delay annoys you, then we either need to make
jockey blazingly fast (long-term wishlist issue, but not really a point
in filing it), or we need to not call jockey in the first place by g-c-c
(but then we would duplicate the knowledge even more, which is bad from
an architectural point of view).
