Jockey can be used detect the driver in use for all I care but I can not believe this is taking 9 seconds (just tested). Yes, it annoys me big time to wait this long EVERY TIME. /usr/bin/compiz does not take this long and it checks much more than just the driver in use. Either jockey needs to do this simple check a lot more efficiently or it's simply the wrong tool for this particular task (that's why I filed the bug against gnome-control-center earlier). -- gnome-appearance-properties shouldn't call jockey when enabling Visual Effects if driver is on the whitelist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/306173 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
