So the updated driver did not fix it. In fact, it did nothing. In messing with this though I've noticed two things:
1. It depends on the screensaver. A fairly static, non moving one like cosmos can be left on my PC all night while I sleep and in the AM I can press a button and my desktop pops right up. One of the more fancy ones like AntInspect or another one with heavy graphics that moves around a lot tends to free my PC. 2. As stated before, the network doesn't go down. The PC is still accessible via SSH. 3. Time plays a factor. Even with the heavy graphics screen savers mentioned before, if they're only left on for 20 min or a half hour ish I can come back to the desktop with no problems. Leaving them on all night would mean a hard reboot. No idea what the cut off point for this is yet for when it starts becoming a problem. Any solutions yet? -- [i965] After leaving fullscreen, Intrepid draws only wallpaper, mouse cursor, and nothing more. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/316414 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
