hi Chris, what's the interest to report bug if we can't give you what you need ? On my own, i'm a single user, not a techy and don't known how to help you if you don't tell me the proper manner. Have you seen and observe the first file attached: xsession-errors, some warnings are shown there.
My own search about this problem: this bug is very old (several years now) and the devs seems to ignore it instead to resolve it !!! What i understand: system memory is not dynamicly used, seen in preferences: huge amount of mem * lots of objects, and don't care of the real needs, don't free the unused mem !!! That seems crappy conception. My work around: reduced number of objets in the default settings, and reduced too mem allowed by object. So, devs have to allow memory in a clever way, base on real needs. Sorry for that truth -- OOO 2.4 on Intrepid eat memory & crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/323899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
