Please can you download the latest version of openoffice, by adding the lines: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/openoffice-pkgs/ppa/ubuntu intrepid main to your software sources. After reloading, update manager should install the latest version of openoffice.
