I've verified that the version on intrepid-proposed, 0.3.8-1ubuntu3,
lets alteration and resizing operations complete. However, while doing
this, I did have a hal error pop up while doing so, presumably because
it was attempting to mount one of the volumes and failed to do so due to
gparted holding the lock. Attached is a screenshot of the ever-so-useful
error message dialog (along with the gparted's windows). This seemed to
be reproducable when deleting multiple partitions, I couldn't get it to
trigger solely on add and resize events.

The updated gparted is able to complete these operations, which it
didn't do before the update, so I'm inclined to believe the intrepid
version should be released, despite the unpleasant dialogs.
